Dear Tom,

I am going to attend an advanced TESOL course in your city, Bangkok, this summer. The course will commence in early July and last for 12 weeks. It is an intensive course so the fee is rather expensive yet I am hopeful of improving my teaching techniques.

In order to cover my costs, I am looking for a temporary job in Bangkok and the suburbs as well. This time I fail to have the financial support from my faculty so I need to pay for the tuition and living expenses. Therefore, I am much in need of a temporary employment before my arrival.

I would appreciate if you could ask around among your friends and relatives to see if there are any vacancies available. I can arrange my schedule to work on night shift as a waitress, au pair, or gardener. I know that you have a wide social network in Bangkok, which hopefully could help me, if you would not mind.

Thanks in advance and look forward to your reply.

Best regards,

Duyen.
